The body of the man that usually brings problems. The prostate is part of the reproductive organs of man. It is about the size of a walnut and surrounds the urethra, the tube located just below the bladder. The urethra has two functions. The first is to pass urine from the bladder when urinating. The second is to pass the semen during ejaculation. Semen is a mixture of sperm and fluid produced in the prostate. In men younger than 50 years, the most common problem of the prostate is prostatitis. In men older than 50 years, the most common problem of the prostate is enlarged prostate or BPH.
